Introduction time.

My profile name is vhaupt, but if you have taken the time to read this please go ahead and call me by my real name, Vaughn (sounds like Von for those of you who don't have college degrees in linguistics lol.) I've been playing on the [Team] servers for a little while now thanks to my brother whom some of you know as Oreososa. I prefer conquest action with people that I know and can talk to, but my bro likes the whole human-on-bot action thing, so I roll with him most of the time.

Some other stuff, I live in Groton CT and right now am an engineering student at UCONN [go Huskies]. I love things that have to do with economic development, buildings, urban planning, and other socio-economic services. I play all sorts of sports ranging from fast sports like football and lacrosse to slower sports like baseball and golf. I always wanted to be a US Navy SEAL, and am pretty familiar with Navy happenings since I live in the Submarine capitol of the world, and the last ship my father served on was a component of the "aircraft carrier" in the game. [the ship in game is a cross between the LHD-2 Essex and, my father's ship, the LHA-2 Saipan]

That is me in a nutshell I guess. Feel free to ask me any questions, I look forward to fighting along side you all.

Vaughn

Wazzzapppp Vaughn. Navy Seal interest, eh? I used to live on milit housing back in H.S. (father is retired 24 yrs). I used to live in San Diego 3% of the navy stationed there with 3 Air Force Bases, Camp Pendleton Marine Corp, a couple navy bases, a sub base, and an amphibious base where Seal teams 1,3, and 5 train. ;)

Life was good back then now too many people crowd Coronado Island as they gained another nuclear carrier bringing up the total to 4 in that harbor. Having the Bay in the backyard and the beach in the front was unique to that locale. ahh memories.

Wow a double whammy in introductions!

Just to throw it in as well I did the 4-year at CSUSM with Soc Maj and Comm Minor but then took a sharp left and dove into IT certifications and the IT field. PC Tech/Consultant/Net Admin blah blah. lol.

Welcome to TN! One of the last books (Lone Survivor), I recently read, was about 4 navy SEAL's who fought for their lives...only one survived. Its a must read if your into Navy Seals! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Luttrell It goes from the training to how amazing these guys are!

Good luck to you in the future, and see ya on the battlefield!

Yea we lived in norfolk for years where we had Little Creek with seal teams 2,4,8,and 10. Also 5 Carriers and the title of worlds largest naval base.:D And now were in Groton home of the U.S. primary submarine base housing 12 Los Angeles and 3 Virginia class fast attack submarines.

Ha ha! Yeah man, I always appreciated the navy community life, moving around to different places and having people that have similar experiences. We stuck to the east coast the whole time though with New Port, RI; Norfolk, VA; Staten Island: New York, NY; Groton, CT; back to Norfolk and then back to Groton again. I like it here because we have the Submarine base and the US Coast Guard Academy, but it isn't overtly military unless you are in housing. There is a nice mix of military community with privatization.

Yeah I'm not heading into the SEALs, or even the military for that matter as far as I can see, but it was always one of those things that I wanted to do. People randomly tell me that i should have joined the SEALs still lol. but yeah Loki, it's funny that you took a switch to IT, my biological dad is in the Army now between Tampa and Miami working for SOCOM, SOCCENT, and SOCSOUTH as an IT and communications specialist, and running JSOC SF detachs in all sorts of countries. It's a good life, I like it lol.

And Jen, thanks for the hospitality, it's been pretty chill rocking with you out there.

I like long walks on the beach, well, no, make that short walks on the beach. Actually make that - I like LOOKING at pictures of beaches.

I am the legendary medic, Captain Panic. I no longer play because I focus more on driving (I'll be focusing on autocrossing, and going to mid-ohio this year) as well as touge runs, and playing WoW (like an idiot).

You and your brother came to the best place to play. My only advice? Don't be stupid. I think you'll be alright. Most people that take the time to introduce themselves here end up staying. Hell, I don't even play anymore, and I STILL come back here. Usually to make fun of everyone and say hi. Of course then I can't find those same threads three months later... but oh well.

What's that? Yes. I'll shut up.
