Alrite first off i had 3 very long days and 1 sleepless nite working on this map.

The map making is time consuming but not to bad, the hell comes in when you start adding bot support and creating a navmesh which is a whole nother ballgame but i finally made it through.

It's kinda small but it's my first map ever !

If you like cliff attack i think you will like this map.

OK this is going to be awesome. Nice work. I will have to wait until dan gets back so I can try the big sizes but the little one is neat.


OK since the time I wrote this I logged on and opened the big size. If I were to make a suggestion it would be to have a even bigger version with more flags.

just a thought:) but I like the jist of it

This is an interesting map. I did have a probelm with the allie bots not following orders (perhaps related to your navmesh challenge). The game was a stale mate for a long while. For me, the key to turing it around seemed to be to give up on all weapons except my knife and just bullie ahead. Once I was out in front of the pack (which a lot of times meant I was dead or dying calling for a medic) the allie bots started advancing behind me. The enemy bots seemed confused at times--choosing to kneel in one place. I'd rush those bots with my knife and as I gained more experience with my knife, I started killing more than being killed. The game gave me a lot of good experience timing my knife swings.

Overall, I enjoyed it. I really thought it was going to be a stalemate until I went commando. That was a totally different experience for me and led to a surprising victory. I'm not sure what you could do to make the bot tracking work better, perhaps build longer straight aways?

Theres not much else i can do as far as the navmesh, only thing i can suggest is to increase the difficulty level, I think that will increase there intelligents also, but i'm not certain on this.

Navmesh is nothing more then what it says, (Navigational Mesh) Basicly lets the bots know where they can and can't go.

I have'nt had any problems with the bots personally but i'll look into it.

Hello, I didn't have any problems with the bots intelligence either but I only played two rounds. Rapter I am very excited about the extended version.

I'll check out the extension, too. Could be user error with the bots. I've been playing this game for a few years and am still learning things. If anything, it is a single data point for you.

Ahhh sorry for the ones who have downloaded this for the second time becuz now you'll have to download it once more :eek:

I found a problem with the navmesh after i put up the new link so once again sorry.

The bots were running into that building at the beach and just jumpin up and down, i was watching them pile up kinda like a train, When it hits something all the cars just pile up in one spot.

But anyways i fixed it, and the link as been updated once more. :)

Tried the map I like the setup. Extended is going to be mayhem! hehe. It is really nice to start seeing members create and up their maps. I feel inspired... maybe. Thanks Rap.

for some reason the 32 map is crashing back to desktop before it completely loads. this is the the third version that I downloaded from here.... is there something I am not doing?

I'm assuming your using the coop, let me download it and make sure the zip is'nt corrupted, Mine loads fine on all supported maps, is it only doing it on coop 32 ?

Have you tried the 16 single player just to see if it works ? it will kinda help me pin point it.

Alrite i'm not sure what the problem is but if you wanna play it until i figure it out, don't try to run it as a dedicated server, go in the game and under muiltiplayer create local.

It works that way, no reason for it to work one way and not work the other but i'm gonna sift through and see if i can figure this out.

I had it crash on me when i ran it as a didicated server but i've been playing it under create local.

actually I did do multi and I created a local and it didn't work. I may be doing it wrong. I will talk to dan about it and try to figure out what I am doing wrong. sorry.

Well theres obviuosly something wrong becuz when i create local it will work just fine but if i do it as a dedicated server it crashes at 61%
