If anyone gets a book token for christmas here are some books you may want to have a look at
Dispatches-Michael Herr-most of the quotes in Full Metal Jacket come from this book,its a brilliant book/About Face-Col David Hackworth-this man led a charmed life through Korea and Vietnam,another great read/By Tank Into Normandy-Stuart Hills-the terror of D-Day in a DD tank through to reaching the Siegfried line/With the Jocks-Peter White-the poor bloody infantry getting the shit end of the stick as usual/Stalingrad+Berlin-Anthony Beevor-you think Stalingrads bad then you read Berlin!!!!!/Panzer Commader-Hans Von Luck-another amazing book,this man fought in just about all theatres of WW2 and survived/The Guns Of Normandy-George Blackburn-ever wondered how artillery during WW2 worked?This will tell you just how it was,again a fascinating incite into a soldiers life in WW2.These are just a few of the books i've read there are more so please post your favorites,oh and Band Of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose,in fact alot of his books i've read but cant remember the titles.
