Strange my PC don't like this mod, last time I tried I had to re-install the damn game.

I had the same problem with AIX V1.0
It was a pain in the you know what. V2.0 is much improved. Still far from perfect, but much improved.

Even more funny it runs on my other PC and that is 64bit as well.
but it is running windows 7 and not XP pro 64bit.

Yea, I still consider myself a noob at this mod too. I haven't played all the maps yet either or figured out all the vehicles.:confused:

I have been playing this QUALITY MOD for the last 2 days and nights (yep no sleep since Tuesday) so far all I can say is WOW I am impressed. :D

Something needs to be done about the stupid bots on the player team every time I try to play it puts me on the wrong team.
How am I ment to play if I can not be on the right team, bloody pointless if you ask me.
Get rid of those bots play properly "HUMANS Vs BOTS"
and NOT "HUMANS with some bots getting in the way Vs BOTS"
I want to play this server but can not.

First off let me say welcome to the Team-Nitro server Tinybobdfa and hope to fight alongside of you soon. Next is you can only play on one side and that is the human side. We do play Human against bots that is what our coops are. The reason you have a few bots on your team is because let’s say its 3:00am in the morning you want to play a few maps, well Bob I don’t think you alone the lone wolf will make it very far in our maps. One verses 32, Put it this way without Team help from some bots you’re the only target out there and they will find you. Now unless you hide in a tank and behind a wall and rape them as they come to you, I don’t see you going anywhere. Yes your score will look good but your Team Score well you won’t have any. You will not be able to hold flags if you are all by yourself with no help or team backup.
That’s what this server is all about, team work and if you are alone out there you can’t play as a team. One person is not a team. One person and one bot are. But instead of writing all of this all I need to say is
Team-Nitro must be doing it right because they are listed as the #1 server in the world for BF2

Wrong I'm afraid this is not true, every time I log into AIX2 when there are about 10 HUMANs playing I get put on the BOT side, not just a one of either. So for me I'm afraid that AIX2 is a no go on the TEAM server as just about everytime I play I'm on the BOT side.

That's true for all co-op BF2 games Bob, not just AIX. If the game is empty I put the bot ratio on 68% which puts 22 bots on team 1 and 10 on team 2 so that the first person in the games actually stands a chance of winning a map. If 12 people are in the game the teams become 22 vs 22, and the 13th player will be put on team 1 to keep the teams even. As people join the game the bot ratio needs to be increased to keep the game playing fun, but as most mods tend to run a little quirky to begin with, making adjustments to the game while it is running is just asking to crash the server.

You might have noticed that in the morning when the vanilla game is empty, there are 22 bots on team 1 and 10 on team 2, but later in the day when people are playing, it's common for all the bots to be on team 1.

It will be really good to see ya back. I haven't been on much lately either, but now that the semester is finally over, I'm hoping to get some time in during the Christmas break. :D

You have even bigger problems with AIX2 atm "DRAGON VAL" keeps on crashing the server :mad:. We play the first three and then get sent back to the start again. This is a great MOD and this "BUG" is spoiling a very good game, at least I got a few games in :D:):p

i think the issue is the gunner position on the attack helos(apaches)when someone jumps into the gunner seat it will crash...everyone needs to stay away from being a gunner on this map.

yes, the apache with a machine gun for the pilot crashes the server, BUT!!!! you guys have the map vote capability, as long as there are three people in, you can change it back, or past that map.

I started a vote last night once there were 4 of us there it got to 2 votes then crashed, shame we nearly made it :rolleyes:
I will still keep playing this MOD I just love the sniper rifle in it. :D:D

Maybe it would be easier for you guys just to take "dragon val" out of the server list, that way at least we get to play more than 3 maps. ;)

Also does it crash if a bot takes that position if so then it is an even bigger problem me thinks!

Certainly more realistic feel and better features than Vanilla BF2 wish there was a wider variety of maps.

After you've played a while you can give up a lot for any mod that is stable and AIX seems nearly perfect, (in my experience hands down more stable than most others). No mod is fun to play that continually crashes and I bet we can all think of more than a few that fit into that catagory.

I'm a fan of AIX, though, some maps are better than ever. Not a fan of Forlorne Hope and wouldn't mind seeing it replaced.

I got to admit the AIX is basically the only one i ever play on lately i love the maps pitty there was not more maps that could be added and yes i agree with a few of you guys wen it crashes out of the server it's a pain in the arse especially wen doin well, maybe somone somewher will have a fix for it out there, but yes AIX i love thinkin about it im off there now thumbs up for me

There are a couple maps that will crash when someone enters the gunner seat of the attack chopter, Zara Wetlands II is one of them, I can't recall the other 2, but usually when the map starts I yell out saying not to get in to the gunner seat as it will crash the map, doing this does worked cuz we've played thru this map 2 -3 times with out any crashing yesterday.

Edit: and some how it seems to be a server side issue, as I tested the map in a local game and it didn't crash the map.

I agree with everyone about the maps. The problem is, I haven't played all the maps in the current rotation yet. The server always crashes a few maps in. "OK everybody. Back to Easter Island!"

i have been having connection problems all day on this server. not lost, but just "There is a peoblem with your connection" over and over. any suggestions?

This mod is very demanding on your graphics card(s) maybe turn down some of your settings on the graphic options, it will speed up your game and less chance of lag and connection issues.

I see references to 2 different downloads for maps... I think...

... we downloaded 1 single map pack...

... do we need to get more maps?

(so far the server has never rejected us for not having a map)

I just thought you may like to have the FULL Map list. Then if the server ever did get updated for extra maps then you would have them all.

I think we are only using the ones that come in the original map pack that should have been downloaded with your AIX mod.

I tried to join recently when there were only 8 players, yet recieved the message that the server was full. the listing states that 32 people can play at once. i am confused.

I believe I am happy with this mod.. As I think PJ/Vhaupt/Oreo as well as myself are big fans. I would like to request though that such maps as Gulf of Oman and some others (Im sure people will add to the list) be placed on 64 for the reason of the vehicles. Man I do miss the Grandslam on Oman...

Don't get me wrong maps are also AWESOME on 16 mode like Refinery.. (personal 16-player-fav).

Basically those that do frequent AIX throw some opinions on maps they like within the spectrum of 16/32/64 maps. I didnt read the latest posts in this thread but I saw it pop-up on the home page and thought to mention it. So if this was mentioned before just scrub this post. ;)

Yes Loki i am with u on this. Some of the maps can stay at 16 nice for sniper wars. I know Kil was saying in a post we need to stop bypassing some of the maps, but we need some of the maps changed back to 64, and maybe some new maps throw in for a real change. Just some ideas.

All the maps on this server should be running in 64 player size. I know they're set for 64 player, but if they're not actually running that size, someone needs to let me know.

i been playing aix for a fair while now about a year on and off and really like it i have my own clan with server but due to technical issues ( constant crashing ) i went to plain old bf2 and found your server and had immense fun lol aix will always be the mod for me the vehicles are so easily mastered and the maps are great, its only let down is the STUPID bots ( what we renamed lol ) they get in the way and sometimes are completely still so u have 2 be commander to get them to actually work lol... other than that 1 issue its a great mod

This is a very fun mod, thanks for this. It gets laggy at times even with only 3-4 players and low ping, but it comes and goes.

Also, has anyone ever been knifed by an AIX bot, or is it impossible? I just got off the AIX server and killed about 10 straight with a knife in close quarters until one shot me.

Love this mod!

My personal favorites are:
1. The A-10 (both variants)
2. The Sniper Kit
3. The AT Kit

I was stationed with one of the first Wings of A-10's in the late 70's when I was in the USAF. The sounds of the 30mm cannon in AIX is EXACTLY like the real one.

I also like the fact that you can VIFF the Harrier's and out turn just about anything else (except the Yak)

Great mod (except when it crashes).
