anyone else think a good way of settling this debate would be for all 3 genres to meet online,on a server and us PC people can once and for all beat the console generation once and for all?i know most of us have consoles but when it comes to online play, for me,its the PC everytime im afraid, anyone agree,lol,dis-agree,sorry if someone has posted before about this, its a hypothetical question but hey this is a forum.

Keyboard and mouse vs controller is the key to that answer.

I've got all the above and they are each good at different things. The PC is tops for gaming, everytime. The consoles are good for certain proprietary games, but mainly, they're good for keeping the kids busy while I'm on the PC.

For me it's got to be the number of players. Just look at that new CODMW2 on PS3 and xbox360 8v8 hahahahahahaha how crap is that. The poor little console players would crap themselves confronted by 32 on a team. Would be fun to watch though :D:D:D

I agree with all of you, PC is totally better in every way! I remember telling the console players about some stuff that is fun to do in BF2 and them looking at me like I was crazy. I finally realized that they did not have the UAV to call in, nor could they fly helos and jets in their version. Once I figured this out I told them that their version seemed more like some free demo game would be on a PC. I mean to each their own, but when they want to come to the major league, they will have to get a PC. To be fair, I went online for the first time with the 360 this past week and purchased COD Modern Warfare 2 as my test game. The game is ok, but my definite vote is 100% PC without a doubt for online gaming! To waste time, the consoles are fine!

Its the point and click shoot capabilty of the mouse like fish said. Aiming with a mouse is a million times easier then with a controller. I mean if we all met online thatd kill them alone. I havent touched my console much in months. The nice thing about consoles is for those of us without top of the line computers we dont have to worry about the games not being compatible or too much for our decrepit old computers, which i should say is an annoying downfall of computers. For instance id love to get NFS Undercover but i dont think my computer would hack it. So yea...... But when i bought it for my console i knew it would work lol. But computers add an awesome demension of mods downloadable to games. Like in racing games being able to download all kinds of cars and like the BF2 mods and such. So yeah pretty much if you have a nice computer then it kills the console.

Well said Oreo, I can relate to the old computer part. According to the game box, I'm not even supposed to be able to play BF2 on my computer. Lucky for an old PCI overclocked video card or I would probably be out of luck.

You know, with all the money you spend on other luxuries (cruises, sports cars, fashion model girlfriends) you'd think you'd but a new PC. I mean, I remember picking up the one you're using now like, 6 years ago. (or was it 7?)

TRY THIS FOR SILLLY POWER FOR GRAPHICS CARDS!!!!!!!:eek:

It's immensely impressive, and benchmarks begin to quiver when two are put together for some quad-SLI action. (had a pair of these MONSTERS for 2 weeks testing a few weeks back)

The theoretical performance can't be denied, but perhaps the best summary of the card came from HEXUS.community member Format who in no uncertain words said "Bloody hell. I wonder how much that will cost? £650 at launch?"

A logical guess, considering that a single 2GB GeForce GTX 285 can be had for around £330, but we're afraid you're a little off the mark. The card, now known simply as the ASUS ROG MARS and given the model number MARS/2DI/4GD3, is available to pre-order from SCAN.co.uk for a tidy sum of £1,030.98.

We're talking a whole lot of money, but then again, this is NVIDIA's fastest single-GPU, doubled, and connected invisibly via internal SLI. ASUS is said to be producing only 1000 of them, :( and they'll each provide the following:

* Two 55nm GPUs clocked at 648MHz each
* A total of 480 stream processors, clocked at 1,476MHz
* 4,096MB of GDDR3 memory, clocked at an effective 2,484MHz and accessed via dual 512-bit  interfaces
* 2,125 peak GFLOPS
* A peak fillrate of 41.47 Gpixel/s  (yes this is correct)
* Bragging rights until the next big thing comes along

When I opened up the box I was sent for testing I nearly shat my self a new house made of poo bricks and that was just the tech spec with out booting these MONSTERS up!!!!

The power under the hoods of these beasties is amazing I rendered a 2hour 38min film in less that 35 seconds :D :eek:

Worse still is the fact I had to give them back only 4 days ago and I still have not recovered from using them.:eek:

Wow Tiny I have 2 of these in crossfire
http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/2866/sapphire_radeon_hd_4890_2gb_vapor_x_graphics_card/index.html
And they smoke with my processor and mobo... Crysis Warhead, GTA IV, COD MW 2, F.E.A.R., Far Cry 2, Dead Space and games as such give me frame rate averages >75 and as high as 250 with all settings maxed and no V sync. I can't imagine what those cards would do, but then again can't really see the a big difference once I get over 45 fps.
