Problem with BF2 standard map server

Over a week ago, when I went to play on the BF2 standard map server, I encountered an issue with punk buster. The funny thing is later that day the same sever started working like it use to, and It didn't happen to me again till yesterday and today (almost a week later). I have used the pbexe. to manually update my BF2 and it is up to date. Also, this has never happend to me on the custom map server or any other server I've played on recently. The map loads and when I hit the join button it gives me the following message:


Service Connection (for 0 minutes) Restriction: service communication failure: punkbstrb.exe hankshaking failed.

So far I've been kicked for the above reason at least 7 times. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I get that a lot on every server. When it happens open Windows Task Manager and end both Punk Buster processes. PnkBstrA.exe and PunkBustrB.exe then try rejoining the server. I'll try updating the punk buster files on the servers and see if that helps.

Thanks for the info. I will give that a try and report back. It's wierd that it only happens on that one server.:confused:
