Speaking of custom maps... you may want to keep an eye out on the ones that clear the room. Eagles nest, masarki(I spelled that wrong...) and forest railway all seem to be effective at getting people to leave the server. In an attempt to bring more people in, finding more user friendly maps is most certainly in order.

Might I suggest street, or torkre (that map does get old quickly, but good for a change). Other than that, right on with the 16 player rebellion. I haven't seen that map since Pure. That's a lot of fun.

I know it used to have a lot of problems crashing, so it may not be worth it, but have you considered trying Volcano? I remember it wasn't as compatible with the latest update, but maybe someone's looked into it and fixed it.

I understand that teamwork is the objective here, unlike 'other' servers that want to be the best by numbers. That being the case, I've found that smaller maps force people to work more closely, and make it more of a community.

Just my opinion though, and not worth much more than an enemy boat.

Agreed Cappy . . . . except for Masaraqi (I think I spelled it wrong too). I think that's a cool map. But regardless, I'll go through the map vote and just put up the 8 or 10 maps that got the most votes.

I never got to try Volcano because it won't run longer than 5 minutes.

I agree with cap'n that the smaller maps, or the ones that funnel troops in the right direction, are the way to go. The small version of forest railway is ok, the large version has flags so scattered, you're forced to defend the center of town or you'll be spending the entire round fighting out of a corner. Rebellion is somewhat silmilar, but the flags are better proportioned. Nice change of pace. Maszarqi all comes down to piloting. If you have one good one, you can easily win the round by flag capture with 2 ppl. Being stuck on the ground on that map sucks. I like the nominees of street, torkre, and volcano (that map is a good time if you can get it to work). A few more you may want to consider for short term fill ins are 'port attack' and 'hanger 18'. And 2 from the retro era that my not be recognized by many ppl , 'jammed' and 'surrounded' ok I'm done

also if we could find the cliff attack and the Qala diza that Pure was running near it's end, with the CP changed...

I'm not so sure I agree with that. Cliff Attack is definitely more fun for me going uphill. pure's version was just way to easy. Two good players could be at the bottom c/p in 10 minutes.

Qala Diza I'm not sure I have a preference which way it goes. They are equally difficult. The problem with that map I think, is that you actually have to take half the c/p's before the opposing team's tickets start going down. With only a few players in the game there isn't always enough time to win it.

I definitely don't understand that: Some maps (Waterfront?) you can camp out defending one c/p, let the opposing team have all the others and still win the round. A map like Qala Diza though, by the time you've taken half the control points, your teams tickets are so low you don't have enough left to win.

yea, when the starting points on the 2 maps Hardshooters mentioned were changed, that changed it completely. If you can figure out how to switch it, I vote start right in the middle.
