I saw you were running one briefly - did you decide not to or did you retask the IP for other purposes?

Just curious.

Just so everyone knows . . . . When I signed up for this gameserver I let the moron salesman talk me into trying windoze to run it even though I knew linux was a better choice. Anyway - so now a week and a half later we're still waiting for them to switch the server o/s to linux. When they do I assume all the games will have to be redone so I'm not really inclined to spend any time setting them up at this time. As soon as the server is squared away we will more than likely be running a vanilla BF2, custom maps, special forces, and AIX.

Well, usually I hop on the AIX with the most players (providing it's not the one I'm banned on). Hopefully that will be yours. ;)

Won't be on much this weekend - GF and I are headed to Orlando Thurs. night for a long weekend ... Disney's Animal Park on Fri ...

I don't know if this is how it's put on the "other" servers, but on AIX there's a rule that basically says "play on the (blue) side".

Whatever side you're on shows up as the "blue" side. You might want to word that better (something like "team 2, which is usually USMC").

I'm experiencing laggishness even with a sub-60 ping. Never had issues with other servers ... anyone else?

I'm going to try playing AIX today Bot. I still haven't installed it so I've never tried it. While you guys were playing AIX yesterday I jumped in each of the other games and they were all playing fine. I think AIX is just a bit of a resource hog. It seems to use three times as much memory to run it as regular BF2, but if it's what you all want to play I'll shut another game off so that it will play better.

I played AIX all day today and I haven't had that much fun playing BF2 since the desert combat days. The AH-64 is a deadly weapon once again ! When I first got in the game I had it set for 32 bots and it was playing a little choppy. My ping was about 80 so it wasn't going to play great for me regardless, but I wanted to try to make it better so I jumped out and lowered the bots to 22. When I got back in the game it was playing horribly. So laggy it was practically unplayable. So I jumped in the AA gun on the carrier figuring I'd just get some air defense kills but that got too boring, so I got out, jumped back in the Apache and the game was playing great. After that it played alright for the most part but would go from playing not-so-good to playing fine for no apparent reason at all. A couple times I minimized the game (CTRL-ESC) to see what was going on in the other games, because it was playing bad, and when I restored the game and got back in, it was playing awesome again. If I knew what it's problem was I could probably fix it, but I don't know what is causing these issues.
