I've been playing on the AIX server for a while now & found that if you use any sort of seeking missiles or bombs from Jets or Heli's, for some reason they sometimes hit your team members in car, tank, APC's & so on. I donno if I should just stop flying on this server or what, but I hate getting TK's due to bugs like that, or any TK's for that matter.
Well thats it, just a word of Caution!
And sorry to anybody I TK'd due to this :(

I and others have had similar problems especially on aix. Some precautions can minimize tk's. This thread should help...

The biggest reason for TK's using heat seakers is the fact they are heat seakers. :D
They do not care for your name just if you have heat!!!!!:D
That in it's self is not a bug but a fact of life. :D
For more of a chance of getting your wanted target keep the lock on and hope in the mean time no one else gets your target!!!!!!
If your target gets destroyed it becomes a free range for a heat seeking missile!!!!!! any target will do!!!! (for the missile that is)

I doubt anyone is working on fixing it. Many, however, are working on building and selling more missiles ;)
Seriously though, using all precautions including being fairly close to your target on missile release, and being the closest friendly to the target, guessing my tk ratio from missiles is near one percent.

the way i do it is if there are no friendlies in the general direction i fire, then i use jassms. otherwise, i make i sure i have a lock and use mavericks. you can just randomly fire hellfires so long as there are no friendlies in the direction you are firing. not smart, but fun :)

Noted, & thank you for understanding & helping out on this, all of you! I love this community & all who help out. BUT as some may have noticed, I tend to,... Speak my mind. I know I can be a jerk sometimes, but there are no grudges.
Anyway, thanks again,...
& thank you too tinybobdfa
