Problem with vanilla servers?

I'm not seeing them in the BF2 interface, and when I try to connect manually by IP, it almost loads the map then I get a message saying "Error reading from the server."

for what its worth I got the same message at the end of custom mods today, cliff attack etc

could finish the mod but kicked before recap..............

Many reporting oddities with EA's BF2 master servers today. Lets hope for better tomorrow. What I"ve seen is still mostly functional for game play - kicking between maps kinda stuff, game servers not listed but accessable thru favorites, for at least a few minutes game servers not at all reachable.

Yeah, thanks, that seems to be the case. I tried joining a ranked conquest server after that and it worked OK, but my stats were not forwarded, so I guess it is an EA problem.

I can't even see or get on any of the coop games. they must have a problem. john

The error still continues. Is that only on the TEAM-servers?

its still popping up sometimes today, fyi................somehow i think its a EA thing

The same thing happened with Call Of Duty,well not exactly,there were no servers up for days on end,master server troubles,although alot of the scuttlebut said they were trying to shut the servers down completely,they didnt,still going strong.

Nice to know -- everything seems to be resolved now.
