This is what I get for telling myself an 80g hard drive would be good enough for now. "For now" lasted about two and a half weeks I think, so the home pc will be down again at least for the night while I put in this sporty WD 1t and my new Win7 upgrade. CYA's tomorrow . . . .

I feel your pain, everybody I know comes to me to fix & upgrade their computers.
And he is right to feel that sigh of doom. Re-installing is only one part,.... Updates are gonna kill when it comes to a long boring waste of time you with you could get back.
Anyway, I hope I didn't depress you further,...:p

Try this for funny, I got a new HD from Western Digital, it took me a staggering nine and a half hours :eek::eek::eek: to format the damn thing.
Once it was formatted I had a working drive with a capacity of 2,014 gig :eek:
Let's see how long it takes me to fill that up!!!!!

I have found that those are usually caused by memory cache issue during re install. Disabling it in the bios will bring you down to a more reasonable 3 hours or less.

I think I finally have the new and improved version of Stevie's PC finished. No more running out of disk space for me . . . .
