I want to make a complete map pack for this server, just list the maps you are running & I'll make an installer pack for it. I have lots of experience in making installers, uninstallers & BFHQ re-directors (Gives you the option to see your stats from private ranked servers in BFHQ).
Please post maplist here.

On the homepage where it lists all the servers, you can click on it and at the bottom of the page usually has an updated list of all the maps.

here is the problem we switch them out often so all the maps that are in our download area need to be in it plus the extra's like coral sea, guadalcanal, airwolf, invasion of the philippines, volcano valley and any others that we decide to add as a mix in:)

And then you have the hassles of AIX2 and it's consistant crashes where maps get changed around and new maps get to say hello.

NP, I can update the installer to add or take away any maps. Also, are you interested in the BFHQ re-director?

Ok, I've made a 64 bit & 32 bit installer for the custom maps. Its 2.97GB so will take a bit to unpack & install.
They are listed by Map Folder Name. If you have any to add please list them & I'll add the maps. Also think about an Icon for the installer & a Graphic for background artwork on the installer.
Here are the maps included:

Your biggest problem is some people only need a few maps and will only download what they need. 6ish gb is a lot to download en=ven in 2 files.
and if you can only post it on one of those download sites that allow limited speeds then no one will want to sit there for hours downloading them!!!

If you want to upload the file to a site that has decent bandwidth, use fileplanet.
Per instruction from their website - E-mail submit@fileplanet.com if your file is over 1 gigabyte. You have to have an account there though (it's free).
There are many files on file planet over 1GB. It might take them a few business days to get back to you but I'm sure they will be willing to help. On a second note, this will likely reduce bandwidth usage on the TEAM nitro website - saving money in other words.

I do have an account at fileplanet, its a free one, not paid. Does that matter?
And thanks for the info.
@tinybobdfa
Some people want to get it all over with in one shot, instead of Downloading, Unpacking & Copying, Each map. So this is for those ppl & for those who already know that its worth having awesome Co-op/SP maps for BF2. I don't think it will be any diff than ppl downloading the map pack for AIX2. Though admittedly, it will take a lil longer for the installer to do its thing cuz its twice the size. Anyway, try to be positive, that's how things get explored & discovered. :p

Lamron, perhaps consider including in the installer a plug for TEAM servers and forum? Might get some new recruits to share our bills AND have some fun ;)

Lamron, the free account with fileplanet should work just fine (based on my limited knowledge and use of file planet). I have uploaded stuff with no issues using my free account there. Never have I requested the 1GB + upload though. You'll probably just have to describe the contents of the file as you would any other.

Well the Title is: "Windows 32 Bit Team-Nitro Custom Map Pack Installer.exe" & "Windows 64 Bit Team-Nitro Custom Map Pack Installer.exe"
The Info I kept simple, but if you want it changed in any way just let me know.
Info in the installer:
" This is a complete Team-Nitro Custom Map Server Pack.
This installer is for 32 Bit Versions of Windows. If your BF2
is installed in any other Folder or Drive Letter, please
correct the install path below.
Any Questions or Comments please go to:

Thank you, I'm doing that now & you were right. :D
I'll wait a lil bit until some [TEAM] members look at it.
Was thinking of doing this:
(Title)
Custom BF2 Maps Pack for Team-Nitro's Custom Map Server.
(File Author)
Installer made by: Lamron333, Maps made by other people.
(Description)
I decided to make a All-In-One, Battlefield 2 Co-op map Installer for Team-Nitro. Their BF2 servers are great & the people are better. Check them out at: http://Team-Nitro.com
To get to the point, this pack has 65!!! Maps
This installer is for 32 bit versions of Windows.
Keep in mind its 3 gigabytes large, so it will take about 3 - 5 mins to just open the file.
And they are:

Ok I got one for you then what happens when more maps appear are you going to go through all the fun of resetting the installer ever time a new map is added. For the record there are 214 maps for BF2 and 115 for Aix2 I have them all on one of my HD's and they take up a total of 219Gig . This is not including the MODS these are in a seperate folder and take up another 20gigs between them. All of my maps are stored in rar files and compressed to the max. I would hate to think how much room they would take up if they were just in folders!!!!

I'll just make a 2nd pack for new maps provided there is enough to make another decent pack. And there you go with the negative attitude again, its not you making the installer pack so chill out & let me worry about it ok? No more of the negative stuff from you.
tinybobdfa
08-16-10, 10:43 AM
Want to bet on that!!!!!!
After all if there were no negative you would not be playing on anything right now.
We would all be sitting in the dark eating food made on an open fire!!!!!
Same as for the possitive!!!!!!
Electricity is both life is both.
The world would be a mighty bit boring if everyone was happy and playing with bunny rabbits!!!! (not sure were that idea came fom but it sounds funny)
Only 2 things in life are garenteed DEATH and TAXES!!!!!!
hehehe I don't know where I think these things up sometimes but who cares!!!!!
PBF2010 Starts for me on Wednesday YIPEEEEE!!!!!! my favourite past time Drinking REAL ALES!!!!!!!!!!
BEER!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

i think its nice to get the mayority of the maps with one download. when i started to play the custom here i searched some thing like this, its a good idea. if some weeks later you need 2 new maps, you can get em here quickly. but to start up, the mappack is great.

Well done Lamron, thanks for your efforts :)
tinybob, please be aware many of us don't believe in electricity. I've never seen it personally and think it's a magic trick. Besides, open fires make the best burgers ;)
Where is "Water Treatment Plant"
You can leave that one out. LOL
This is awesome. Great work!
Tiny, to quote Kelly's Hero's where Oddball (Donald Sutherland) is talking to Crap Game (Don Rickles)...
"There you go again with the negative waves!"

Ok, due to nobody objecting to the content of the installers, Both installers are now uploaded to Fileplanet. I thank everybody for the support & hope you like my first real contribution. There will be more :)
I'll send the links to the admins of Team-Nitro & they can choose to post it or not,... but I hope they do ;)
& tinybob I still <3 U, I just need to help you see the positive side of things :p
