Mashtuur City AIX map that has UFOs posted

Hey everyone, I'm hosting a special AIX map that has UFOs and some other cool stuff. If you want to check it out, I uploaded the map files to fileplanet so you can download them rather than search the internet. It's also in the downloads section in the BF2 maps section named "Mashtuur city" (the most recent add-on)

So far, mytrap joined in and we owned the skies. It looks like War of the Worlds

EDIT (Aug 2, 2010) - New link provided for easier to install file. Extract all files into the AIX levels directory and you're done

Yep I found that map with a host of other maps 115 to be exact. on the site that I linked to from the above thread!!!!

I second that request. Several of us, including mytrap spent quite a bit of time on Mashtuur today when I hosted a server. It was way fun, but very hard to win the map without a handful of other human players to help. The UFOs are awesome as well!

There is a Warthog sitting under there, and it will give most tanks a battering lol!!!!!

Holy cow! I totally overlooked the warthog. First I had to find it where you pointed out. That thing is impressive! Ah I hope that map goes into the AIX rotation soon... UFOs + Super Warthogs would be insane!

Mytrap put it on the list now. However some of the files are most likely installed incorrectly - none of the fault belongs to the admins though. I packed the file in a weird way... I posted a message in the forums and PMd Jen. Hopefully they will read this soon.

Having prob running this map. It starts to load, then when I click join, game crashes...HELP!!!

Dredd, you have the map installed incorrectly as many of us did as well. It was my fault for packing the file a little weird. Look at the image in another thread I posted to correctly install the files. http://team-nitro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1348

all I have to say is AWESOME!
Loki and I were having just as much fun crashing the warthog as playing with the UFO!

You can't go wrong with the warthog, as long as you have a mechanic repairing all the time in case you flip it. The Turbo-boost feature makes it especially enjoyable. It's the only true "off road vehicle." No mountain or hill is too steep for it to climb.

Now all we need to do is get "santasvselfs" into the rotation and we will be completely lost in total irrelevant'less "more fun not war" that's my new moto LOL!!!!!

The first post has a different link for Mashtuur City - it is a better packed file. Extract the files into your AIX directory (all 4) and you're done.
I agree with the Santa vs Elves map being put into rotation; it would be hilarious! However, for some it may be a little laggy for those without more up-to-date graphics cards. There are a LOT of different colors, shades and textures that your computer would be handling. I for one could handle it, but I know not every one else is as fortunate. Maybe we'll see that one down the road. Perhaps I could provide for the tesing of these newer maps by providing a reliable download link and hosting them on my machine. That way everyone can get an immediate feel for things: if the maps are laggy, are as great as they look, etc. If everyone is happy and the admins feel it is worthy of being put into the TEAM server rotation then wonderful, if not, no harm done! I had 5-10 people on my server testing out Mashtuur city before it was posted on the TEAM servers.
