Friday Night Fights - Project Reality Party - Friday 7/30 9pm

Hi everyone,

After last Friday's successful Project Reality Party, I would like to have another one this Friday 7/30 and this time getting together on Vent starting at 9pm EDT (0200Zulu) with combat commencing at 10pm. EDT (0300Zulu)

Based on some of the After Action Review (AAR) from last time, I would like to ask our friendly admins to create an additional PR vent channel for a second squad and I will post instructions showing how to set up alternate buttons for vent to be able to talk to (or change to) the other channel if needed. Everyone agreed the communications got confusing with two squads at two different locations trying to alert their squad mates about the squad status and enemy positions and movement. Two channels with limited cross talk should solve the problem. (It did in the 2nd Marines on BF2Combat.net Tournament).

Kilo, while your waiting, you should practice some "dust offs" and "evacs" under fire. I would suggest the roof of the masque in Muttrah or any of the control points in Barracuda.

i have an idea for the barracuda map: we could try to stay in the hueys and use them for transport from flag to flag. we played last time on foot only and it lasted 3+ hours.

The reason we did that was our chopper's kept getting shot down by small arms fire. We have done the copper insertion and ex-fill routine on many maps. But if the enemy bots sight in on your transport, then they all seem to gang up on it and down you go. Also it'a like 5 minutes between chopper re-spawns. So if your shot down, that's 5 more minutes of ticket bleed (100+ tickets) if you don't own enough flags. It's better in those cases that if your alive on the ground that you take your next objective on foot and stop the ticket bleed.

I want to move the PR Party to saturday so Bill and Jenn can take part. If you look at the rankings, they are the #1 and #2 on our PR server respectively. I think we should make every effort to include them. (Might help us win a few compared to last night's (sunday) debacle. (We should have won Ramiel!)

Don't think I'll be joining the PR party this evening.. Been practicing in Pr for the better part of the day, and evening won "Battle for Quinling" by myself( Yeehaaaaw! W/ A grenade Launcher).Anyways.. the server is now full of Dumb@## Tkers.. about 15 of them and I'm a little frustrated.Everyone in Choppers shooting everything in site..Including me....Hopefully you all Jump on and save the day ;)Well, going to go eat.... Sorry, just venting... i'll prob be on in a bit..:D
