Well those planes are almost impossible to control with just a keyboard, their too quirky.

Practice, practice, practice with some patience thrown in. It’s easier said than done of course but it can help.

Joysticks can be cheap, and make a WORLD of difference.

NAH!!!!! with out a doubt having no bots on the human team on easter island makes it mainly impossible to just camp out at their base as you need to kill them in the planes (in flight) to make them respawn. It also makes for some rather interesting dog fights!!!!!!

I'll second that. I joined in the spawn camping a few times, but the entertainment value is gone for me in a few minutes. It is borderline stat-padding methinks - badges by the barrel.

so this is a issue that was mentioned the other day however this has been my stance on it:

Easter Island is a map that is either loved or hated. I personally have been lax in worrying about the "spawn camping" because their aren't normal flags on the map and normally we already have them. I appreciate the people that have not whined about playing the map and found something else to do because some love flying and playing that map. I for one hate it however I know others enjoy it so I found something else to do so others can enjoy it too. I normally spend time being a sniper for time and experience since I'm lacking on sniper time anyway. I kind of look at it like any of our other maps where we have all the taken flags and we are sitting at the back flag that is uncapturable. it is actually pretty funny to watch the guys use unique ways to take out the bad guys with claymores, at mines, c4, at rockets, grenade launchers, and so on and so forth. the people that did start it aren't normally spawn campers and it just seems to be a unique way to deal with that map. However I do also get that it is hard for those that do want to fly and have anything to shoot (like the map was intented) when there is spawn camping there at the enemy's only spawning base. I think we need to come up with an compromise to work for both parties because I see the need for both. However I do want to thank those of you who did go in the game ....hate the map...but understand that others were enjoying it so not complaining the whole time but were resourceful to make the situation fun. however I think as each of you are there you need to THINK "are the planes getting enough to chase". just my two sense worth

i have an idea: only spawnrape the triplanes(one of which they dont even use) or bring your own plane(not easy). that leaves 2 planes to get airborne

Speaking of joysticks for flying, has anyone ever tried/would reccommend a thrust lever as well? Was gonna buy the two part set but was unsure if it was worth the extra dough

I no longer play this map for points I would rather have it so there were no bots on our team when this map is played just so you have to fight in the sky to get the score down.

It's a catch 22 when there are no bots in the game for the stat padders LOL!!!!!

They can not get a kill unless someone is in the air shooting them down. I spent over 1 hour flying around the other day on my own and it was FUN!!!!

Trust me when I say..... When there are no bots you get kills by the teens in mins of playing you also have about 10-15 planes trying to get you
