Everyone was still very interested in PR. Just because they were taking a little break doesn't mean they weren't interested for good. if you watch people on here go through cycles. they play heavy for 6-8 months than take a 3-4wk break than come back hard and heavy. It isn't because they are done with Team Nitro or bf2 they just need something a little different to reenergize them. The difference is we normally don't see them on vent so we figure they are just busy with life. as for shot online we actually recruited some players to play BF2 again that hadn't played in a long time. and we told them about the greatest place to play.

That's all fine and dandy, but the reason people aren't playing isn't the issue here, the issue is simply that people aren't playing. I'm not going to tie up a gigabyte of memory on the server running a game that hasn't had more than three players in it for the past week. If people want to play again, I'll turn it back on - in the meantime I think we should switch it to something else just for a change of pace.

They did switch to something for a change of pace. They switched to Shot-Online. We have had a call from several for a PR get-together for the last several days and now it feels like the rug has been pulled out from under us.

Other than AIX on this excellent site I play PR.
Although granted not lately as not many others have been playing it!!!!!

and I have been a little on the sick side just lately.

But if others want to play and it does come back just PM me and I will be part of the team to play PR!!!!!!

Nah it sucks, well to me coz i can never get the hang of it. Too steep of a learning curve. Id prefer Special forces over PR if we ever get that going. A few SF maps in coop would be pretty awesome.

Well all I can say to that is.....

You have never been on VENT when all the regular players are on, the game rocks when you have a lot of good TEAM players in it!!!!!!

I too had a hard time getting into PR. Too me it is too slow a gamepace....But at the same time, I have never played it when there was a good number of other players on also. I prefer AIX to PR anyday....Just my 3 1/2 cents (inflation)

Tiny is right. When we have about 5 or more of us on PR and in Vent, then it rocks. Yes it's a bit slower paced than BF2 or AIX, but you also have to THINK more and plan properly to stay alive and secure your team's objectives. The learn curve is not that steep unless you want to fly a jet, those are not easy like BF2 or AIX. Choppers are a bit easier. But being a ground-pounder on PR rocks. I don't know when all the golf players are coming back from being AWOL. (I never saw any official 3 week passes or Leave papers) But I'm sure they want to get back to it also!

Well i've already made a post about why i have'nt played much bf2 lately in the admin forum, but even with that aside, if i wanna play bf2 i'll play bf2 if i don't then i don't its just that simple.

Here for the last 2 to 3 weeks (Not saying any names you know who you are) a few people have done nothing but bitch about people playing golf in the SO thread, if you wanted to play PR then you should have played it, If someone has to have someone hold there hand everytime they go play a game then thats pretty sad.

Sure it funnier with other people but if no one else wants to play then thats just the way it is, You can't force anyone to do anything, If it's such a great mod to ya then playing alone should be good enough if no one else wants to play but stomping around throwing a hissy fit every other day is'nt gonna draw you any attention it's only gonna drive it away.

No one from shot online or any other game for that matter has came in saying ooohh you guys are playing BF2 or BC2 don't do that come play with meee come play with meee.

If someone wants to play something they'll play it, if they don't then they will just play something else or maybe not anything at all but that decision is'nt for anyone to make except for that person alone.

I'm not trying to pick on anyone here - I'm just picking on the game no one plays. Fine - all the PR players are taking a break, when you come back and want to play again I'll turn it back on. It's been a long, long time since any of our games was ranked outside the top 15 or 20 in the world, but PR is currently barely in the top 50. That's all I look at - what games (mods) people are playing and which ones they aren't.

Nooooooo........No one has been on there due to summertime,vacationing,golfing..etc... But we usually have a kick-butt team. I won't play Vanilla(too Arcade) so AIX and Pr is all I PLAY... I understand not wanting to take up space for a server that noone is playing,but that has only been the last week and a half..The whole reason I play Pr is because of the challenge.. But, you have to do what you have to do...

The whole reason that I have stuck w/ this game is because of [Team] Nitro and their Awesome Members! Excellent Team skills, strong bond that you all have. You have an Awesome group and Great Servers and i know you do what's best.
Anyways, I hope you all will come back from vacationing etc. so we can get PR up and running again..
