For The PR players

For the last week or so i have been seeing squad leaders moving out way in front of there squad. I also see that there is less comunication between the squad leaders and there marines. I see you (SL) put up markers were to go and as soon as the SL puts it up there gone like a shot leaving there marines behind.
First. SL you need to set a way point to go to.

2) you then need to pick a point man to get you there(SL is not pointman)

3) you then need to make sure all your marines are ready to move out all at the same time.


Keep the chatter down. keep your sentance short we dont need a 3 min chat from any 1 person.

Ventrillo is a grate tool so use it to comunicate with all of us but the voip in the game is also on so use that to talk to just your Sq.

PR is a team playing mod so lets get back to that concept.
Players listen to your Squad leaders
Squad leaders talk to your marines. Tell them what you need them to do.
If you dont thell do whatever they want and you then lose the team advantage
Most of all i think playing as a team is always more fun then running around by your self and lost.
Lets have some Fun and kill many bots.

in almost all flavors of BF2 it's a poor idea to be a squad leader and lead from the front as you will be the first to die. The SL should be in the back supporting with covering fire and if Medic, reviving others.

One thing I think works in PR very good is the Bounding Over-watch Maneuver.

In this movement tactic, 1/2 the squad lays down cover fire while the other 1/2 advances. After 10 to 20 meters, they reverse the roles. Since in PR your vision blurs when rounds strike near you, (and Ive noticed that bots under fire also stop returning fire for a short time) So this tactic should work in PR. In regular BF2 or AIX the blur effect is not there so its use might be limited.
