Running a Server on a Network

Hey I have been off line for awhile and I was wondering if i could get the know how to aquire my own bf2 ranked coop ...i figured how to do the aix but i havnt figured out how to do it with bf2 stock and sf ....i go couple months here and ther and i was wanting too run my own private ranked coop for those unfortunate time when I dont have internet axcess ...but i dont want to step oon yalls toes or nothin ...I enjoy playing on your servers ...I just wanted to play ranked incase I am offline again3:)

Download the latest BF2statistics software (www.bf2statistics.com (http://www.bf2statistics.com)) and read the instructions. If you have problems setting it up I can help you through it. It's not a simple process however. A seperate pc on your network - or webserver - is highly recommended for use as the backend machine. I've known people who used one pc for everything, but that leads to laggy game play and frequent crashes between rounds because the single pc usually can't handle loading a new round and sending the stats data to itself at the same time.

You do understand that the stats you keep will be seperate from ours and everyone elses - right ? Setting up your own stats will not let you send scores to anyone elses database other than your own . . . .

Oh yea I know that ..I lurned all that the hard way lol...with that aix mod i fiddled with it ....my virus scaner conflicted..
I had to exclude it ...but i was messin with it.....im curently at my dads and theres four pc's on our network ...i set the network up...i have a little pc/networking knowlege .i upgraded all the pc's here and ran all the soft ware...by chance yall ..(anyone whoreads this) know how to set up nvidia/ati cards settings NVIDIA Geforce 8400 PCI 515 & PCIE 256 + ATI HD4650 AGP 1GB card .... for the server its basicaly for me at home when im bummin cause ihad to pay the rent instead of internet...priorities...but it can be online....butif im online id rather play on yalls server..theres no lag lol...curantly all our member have a stick up there ass and dont wanna get on or play....other thane me 2 brother dad ...nephes and couple friends theres like 3 of our members on and they always playin migunabi ...(whatever ) and never even say hi when they see you get on ... i was wanting it to be a trainig tool for new recuits too ...id sett the bots for noobs and moniter there game play as they get better make it higher...ok im rambling here i think yall get my drift here..andill check that out ...ill rap at yall when i have a problem with it >;).... hHey Thanx Again Yall I Apriciate the help.

know how to set up nvidia/ati cards settings NVIDIA Geforce 8400 PCI 515 & PCIE 256 + ATI HD4650 AGP 1GB card .... for the server....

????. Set it up how? As a dedicated server?

OH NO my bad ...what i ment there was how to set the video card for best perfomance FPS wize in game ...ani aliasing texture optimization....i knolw atI AND nvidia ARE DIFFERANT THEY HAVE DIFFERANT OPTIONS .. I WAS WONDERING HOW TO SET THEM BASED ON MY PROCESOR /RAM TYP AND SIZE TAKING IN CONSIDERATION FOR THE SIZE OF THE POWER UNIT ETC........MORE OR LESS IM LOOKIN TO UP fps FROM 25 TO AT LEAST 40 - 50 fps OR MORE

What are you system specs? ie CPU and speed, ram, op system... etc.

For a local bf2 network I don't know why you would need the stats other than to get the unlocks, hmm. I had a mod in mind that unlocks the guns in single player but forgot that it was limited to just that. Whichever you choose to be the dedicated server it doesn't need a good gpu. I'm sure you would want to set up one of the lesser machines as the server box, but they don't look all that powerful. I suppose they could be just fine though only hosting 3 machines.

well me and my brothers play and we been offline for while ...I can run the server but and get it ranked...i think i just need directed in use of the tool the proper way
theres the setup tool it works single player mod ...io was wondering how to run the multiplayer portion and correctly save the stats cause when i close down the game it crashes there goes the states

for the most part ill play i yall servers but id like to be able to run my own just on the network...or private clan matches

can any yall show direct me tord the right tutorials lol
or i could just find one of yall on teamspeak or vent lol thanx man !
