Hi all,
I'm Paul but you will get a response out of me faster on ventrillo with my nick name "Korg"
I have been playing BF2 off and on since it was released.
I was a member of the gaming clan Task Force Rangers and after the clan broke up, went over to BF2combat.net tournament (a pay to play site with over 1,100 members at the time).
bf2combat.net has 8 "armies" each with 120 to 180 players in army. They would fight 10 hour long 30 vs 30 battles on Thursdays and Sundays. You didn't have to be there for the entire battle and could come and go between round to let others in your army have a turn. It was very organized.
Each army usually had three regiments of ground-pounders, an armor battalion, an air wing and a special-ops force.
To get in the air wing, armor battalion or special-ops you had to "try out". One of the tests for the Air Wing was to fly the pipes on Kubra Dam, in the Eagle, inverted!
They only wanted the best of the best in the air wing. I had a lot of fun there.
The regiment I was in would practice twice a week for an hour and after practice we would go and play together on other public ranked servers. (a "raid") and pwnd just about anyone that got in our way as we had become very good at playing as a team.
I'm really looking forward to playing with you guys (and gals) and hope to recapture that same feeling I had of the "good 'ol days" of playing and working together as a team.
PS, i just discovered AIX2 and I'm HOOKED!
